This e-passport comes from Samsung and turns a small flexible OLED screen into a rotating image of the passport owner. This one has a 2 inch 240×320 AMOLED screen with 260k colors and when inserted into the reader it activates the rotating image.
This is straight out of one of my favorite movies, Minority Report.

That is exactly what this guy did. He put his IPhone on a full size monitor. Touch screen and all.
At this point it isn’t clear whether or not this is an impressive hack or just a hoax. We will know soon enough, however, reports indicate that the Mach kernel is bootable on Intel hardware, and some monitors are reported to be able to support the output.

Kopin Corporation has announced that they have been able to shrink the color dots of a VGA liquid crystal display, LCD, from 3.75×11.25 µm to 2.9×8.7 µm allowing for a 640×480 resolution display.
According to Kopin this will allow for a 2,048×2,048 resolution HD display to fit on a postage stamp! They have already been able to get a standard 800×600 display to fit onto a 0.34” screen, XGA (1,024×768) displays at 0.44-inches and SXGA (1,280×1,024) displays at 0.56-inch using the same color dot size.

Basically it is a silent robotic beast that can be wired with explosives, reconnaissance cameras and microphones, and moves just like a snake. Imagine swapping out the camouflage material for latex material that looks like a snake from the region in which you are patrolling.

Now two years old, this crazy little humanoid robot comes to us out of Japan. It seems to react to touch with facial expressions and movements of the body.
It is basically a robotic body comprised of 197 sensors, eye cameras, high-end processor, and has 51 “muscles” that use compressed air for movement, all this covered in a rubbery latex type suit. Standing about the height of an average 7 year old it interacts with, and learns from, humans.
It was not programmed to walk but has learned from the people around it. The CB2 has also learned to recognize facial expressions. Learned??? Scary…
