Answer by mi18to download apps from android market you need a google account & have it linked to your phone. one other way is to download from another app site to you pc & then side load onto your phone. some places like 4shared, approb or androidfreeware.net will allow you to download to your pc just as you would any other file. android apps will have “.apk” at the end of the app name, like “madden11.apk” just drag & drop the downloaded file to the root folder of your phone. if you dont know how to side load or install from your sd card using a file manager i suggest you look here http://restlesstech.com/sideloading-android-apps-for-dummies/ for help

Another day, another leak — this time, a set of new images that purportedly depict Nokia’s next set of Lumia smartphones have begun to make the rounds. Coming from a random Twitter source (planned corporate or PR leaker?), these images are reportedly of the 4.3-inch Nokia 820 and the 920 PureView, the latter of which apparently packs Nokia’s super imaging system. These phones were supposed to be revealed for the first time at a September 6th event. Whoops.
Nokia knows how to make a good-looking phone. Starting with the N8 in 2010, Nokia has since outed several innovative and fresh smartphones. The latest seem more of the same. That’s a good thing. Just like their predecessors, these are fantastic looking phones. Well done, Nokia.
The 820 reportedly uses a 4.3-inch display and is likely the mid-range phone for the Lumia line. Not much else is known about the phone although the leaked pics show it sports Carl Zeiss optics. No word on pricing or availability for either of these models.
The 4.5-inch 920 will no doubt be the Lumia’s flagship and likely equipped with everything Nokia can throw into a phone. This phone reportedly packs Nokia’s breakthrough PureView technology, which utilizes a crazy amount of megapixels in a practical way. After spending sometime with the bulky PureView 808, we’re still a bit curious how Nokia managed to cram the necessary bits into the slender frame. But man, we hope these leaks are legit.
Windows Phone 8 is shaping up to be a fantastic mobile platform and these devices with their good looks and superstar optics could be just what it needs to properly combat Android and iOS.
Last year, Razer announced its expansion to the PC making business with the introduction of the Blade, a 17-inch gaming notebook with an aluminum chassis and thin profile comparable to a MacBook Pro. But despite garnering acclaim for its design and multitouch touchscreen trackpad, the Blade was criticized for being overpriced and underpowered. Now, Razer is taking those grievances head-on, refreshing the Blade with more powerful processors, more storage, and a $ 300 price cut.

Steam has developed a reputation as a haven for indie games like Super Meat Boy, so it’s only fitting that store owner Valve has just launched a section to welcome more of those games into its tent. Greenlight lets small developers submit titles and have gamers vote as to whether or not the candidates should get space on Steam’s virtual shelf. Pickier players don’t have to see every game in contention; they can filter the list down to specific game types and platforms, and collections can narrow the selection to categories hand-picked by fans or publishers. No games have cleared Greenlight just yet, but it won’t be long before the logjam becomes a flood — between this and general apps, Steam is about to get a lot more crowded.

We’ve followed The Weather Channel through its transition into the digital era.
It started with a beautiful iPad app, and then the company revamped its iPhone app and website to match the new look and feel. And boy were there features! Social elements, notifications when it will rain, and personalized weather were all in the forecast.
And today, the iPad app that started it all has surpassed 10 million downloads. Much of this is due to Hurricane Isaac, which swept the Gulf Coast this week.
The company reports that the strongest four-day period the app has ever seen started August 26, and TWC saw the most downloads ever (both iPhone and iPad) on August 26.
The Weather Channel has been making a big push of late, hoping to be the world’s go-to destination for weather information, whether they’re visiting on the web, TV, phone, or tablet. The Weather Channel app remains the second most downloaded app on the iPad, according to Apple, and is second only to Apple’s own iBooks.
So you just bought a Nokia Lumia 900 and are wondering how on Earth you’ll get all your old phone’s data over to that new Windows Phone. Nokia and Mark/Space have you covered with a new, Lumia-tuned Welcome Home to Windows Phone app. The Mac- and Windows-based utility goes beyond just shuffling calendars, contacts and media; if you’re jumping ship from Android, a BlackBerry or an iPhone, it will scan apps linked to the outgoing hardware and offer QR codes to download either direct or close-enough equivalents for the Windows Phone world. Fresh Lumia owners might appreciate the price more than anything — unlike the Android porting tool, the Lumia version is a free treat just for joining the Nokia flock. It’s available today, but we have a feeling that most of the demand will come after September 5th.
