iPad. I have both the original iPad and the Xoom. The iPad is far superior.

For all these mentioned purposes and the portability factor I would recommend you to go for the cheaper option i.e the kindle fire. Both the xoom and iPad 2 can do the same stuff and they have more features than the kindle fire like front and rear camera. But all the required features like watching movies, browsing internet, listening to music, over 17k apps and games like angry bird are all there on kindle fire.
