Looks like BlockBuster is testing out a new movie rental format. They are allowing the rental to be loaded on to SD cards that the customer brings in. The customer can then play the movie on whatever device that will accept the SD card. These movies use a time-bombed DRM protection so no return is necessary.
I give it about two months until the DRM time-bomb is cracked and you get to keep the movies.
