water-orbiting-needle.jpg

This is a video shot aboard the International Space Station by astronaut Don Pettit showing tiny water droplets orbiting a statically charged knitting needle. Pretty awesome, but also — practical. Are you thinking what I’m thinking? “Like, about the solar system and life on earth?” Huh? NO. I was thinking more along the lines of blasting off into space, rubbing blankets on our heads, then making donut holes orbit our faces so we can just lean in and eat one whenever we want. “Genius, pure genius.” YOU BET YOUR FAT F***ING ASS IT IS.

Hit the jump for the worthwhile video and explanation.
