Do you need to buy anything? Can i still read books on my nook if I download android on it too? Thanks

Nook comes with android. You can still read books with nook. I read this book called “100 ways to use your android device” from amazon for around $ 3.00. A great book if you are new to the world of android. All the best
To get Android with the Android Market on your Nook, you have to go through a process called “rooting”. Honestly, it’s a bit complicated, but if you can follow step by step instructions, you can do it. The customized version of Android already on your Nook does not included the Market. You really can do a lot more with the device by rooting it. You will absolutely be able to read your Nook books, but you may need to download the free Nook for Android app. You will also be able to add Kindle for Android and have access to the Amazon book and app stores. It’s really a win-win situation.
A word of caution before you start. I’ve put a link in the source box to some rooting instructions from a reputable site, but I suggest you use a search engine and search for instructions specific to your particular Nook, ie Tablet, Color, etc. Also, make sure you know how to restore your Nook to factory settings in case the rooting process renders it useless (it’s called “bricking”).
