It’s up to the builder. Sonar will not work because of the very short ranges and long timing delays.
do they have to use infrared light reflectivity sensors or is it up to the builder, and would ultrasonic sensors work just as well?
They use infrared light reflectivity sensors.
I assume that it used ultrasonic sensors and mapping software to keep track of where it is within the maze and to calculate the quickest route?
