HTC’s Windows Phone 8 flagship, rumored as the 8X, will reportedly land at T-Mobile during November. Following image and specification leaks today, TmoNews is now reporting that the HTC Accord (the codename for the 8X) will arrive on November 14th. The date is a little later than what we’re hearing for Nokia’s Lumia 920 on AT&T, but it appears to match Microsoft’s plans to launch Windows Phone 8 fully on October 29th.
The 8X is rumored to include a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 4.3-inch 720p Super LCD 2 display, 8-megapixel camera, and a microSD card slot. We’ve confirmed Beats Audio support for the 8X, and we’re expecting HTC to unveil its Windows Phone 8 devices at a press event on September 19th.

HP is adding an element of intrigue to its enterprise lineup, posting three mysterious videos in anticipation of a February 14th event in Las Vegas. It appears the focus will be on workstations, but given the look and feel of the videos, HP must think it has something rather special in store. We’ll have more for you on the day of the event, but in the meantime, check out the 2001-inspired spots below.

Microsoft will launch Nokia’s Lumia 800 device in the US as a special bundle item priced at $ 899. That’s the word from sources close to Microsoft’s Lumia launch plans, who have confirmed the bundle will include a Nokia Play 360 Wireless Speaker, Purity HD Stereo Headset, and an in-ear Bluetooth headset. Microsoft plans to launch the special bundle on February 14th and the Lumia 800 will not be made available separately, at least initially.
The Lumia 800 will be available unlocked from Microsoft’s retail stores, with no official carrier support, and will be aimed at Valentine’s Day and gift shoppers initially, as there are no proposals to offer the Lumia 800 outside of the bundle deal. Microsoft originally revealed its plans at CES 2012…

HTC’s Rezound first leaked its way into our gadget-lusting hearts in late summer. Then bearing the virile Vigor codename, we suspected a heartily specced, Beats Audio-branded destiny for the device. And today’s official unveiling doesn’t disappoint, setting this 4.3-inch handset on a 4G course for Verizon’s LTE airwaves.
Thanks to the company’s financial handshake with Dr. Dre, the Rezound’s inbuilt Beats Audio integration gets its first stateside debut. Of course, that’s not all that lies beneath the red and black tinged surface. Living up to the machissimo of its in-development moniker, the Rezound boasts a 4.3-inch 720p display and packs a dual-core 1.5GHz processor underneath, with 1GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage / 16GB on microSD card, WiFi and Bluetooth in tow. And for you Android fanatics, HTC’s shipping the handset Ice Cream Sandwich-ready, but it comes out of the box with Sense-skinned Gingerbread 2.3. As for the phone’s 8 megapixel camera with f/2.2 sensor (capable of 1080p video capture), the suite of scene modes we’ve seen ship on the Amaze 4G is making an appearance here with panorama, action burst and instant capture. Those familar custom-made Beats headphones will also come bundled with the device.

The oft-leaked Motorola Droid 3 is dripping information yet again, this time over on Droid-Life where an internal flyer confirms it will be available at retail locations July 14th, with direct fulfillment orders (upgrade in-store, get the phone by mail) starting a week earlier. If that’s somehow not enough, there’s also a PDF copy of the manual available for download but if you watched the tutorial videos there’s probably not much new information to be digested there. The one detail that continues to elude us however, is a confirmed price for Verizon’s QWERTY slider w/ 1080p camera and dual core processor, but after all the early reveals we’re sure you’ve had time to scrape together a suitable dowry.

OS X Lion (pictured at right), which was announced back in October, is in “Gold Master” status and is “shipping” to developers. A curious set of terms for an OS that strives so mightily to cut ties with the old disc-based model for software distribution.
9 to 5 Mac also hears that it will be available for you and me come July 14th — coincidentally, the time we expect to see new MacBook Airs come out, which were supposedly delayed to allow time for… you guessed it, Sherlock, Lion. It all makes sense! But how deep does the rabbit hole go?!
Well, it’s a bit past May 2nd, but AT&T has now finally officially announced that it will be carrying the HP Veer — or Veer 4G, as it prefers to call it. The diminutive smartphone will be available on May 14th in your choice of black or white for $ 99.99 on a two-year contract.

What started as loose-lipped tattle is now official: the PSP will get a taste of Sony’s Music Unlimited streaming music service starting on April 14th. The service, tortuously entitled “Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity” by Sony, requires a PlayStation Network ID to access all that digital audio. Once setup, Sony promises a “synchronized music experience” across your PSP, PS3, PC, and other network-enabled Sony devices like Bravia TVs and Blu-ray players — a claim backed by a cloud-based catalog of some seven million tracks supported by a “music sync” functionality that will automatically organize your Music Unlimited library after perusing the local files and playlists found in your existing media player (yes, iTunes is supported). Click through the break for the full press release and a good video overview of the service while you ponder the $ 3.99 basic and $ 9.99 premium monthly service fees.

The growing pains of being a small company dealing with big demand have bitten Notion Ink again, as the company has had to dish out a disappointing email to some Adam buyers informing them their delivery has been delayed to February 14th. The culprit in this sad case is a shipment of damaged touchscreens, which company chief Rohan Shravan estimates will affect just over five percent of all orders. Touchscreen supplier Sintek has promised to work through the Chinese New Year to refill that stock, so hopefully the bump back to Valentine’s Day will be the last, seemingly fitting, one for the Adam.
