Question by Will: Can you get a 720p picture through av cables? I’ve been seing these things on ebay and amazon called itheater virtual video glasses and they say that it supports 720p, so does that mean I will get an HD picture because I thought that was only possible through HDMI but these use av cables.

Best answer:

Answer by David EYou get it through HDMI and Component cables. Component are those red/green/blue ones with red/white for left right audio.

I got some hands-on time with both the Vita and PS3 versions and I must say, the two look virtually identical. While the developer has made it clear that the PS3 is the lead platform, the game really stood out on the handheld’s OLED screen. If anything, I actually think the Vita version may have even looked a bit crisper. Between the two, I actually enjoyed my time with the Vita version more than its console counterpart, feeling as though this kind of experience is better suited on the handheld anyway. That said, I’m confident any fan of the Sly franchise will eat this game up, and the added bonus of cross-platform play sure makes owning both copies quite alluring. Video Rating: 5 / 5

Nextgeneration Xiaomi phone rumored to house quadcore processor, 720p display

Following last year’s launch of its potent, price-savvy Android smartphone, Xiaomi is already purportedly crafting its even more powerful successor. Alongside a bundle of blurry cam images, leaks from within factories making the next iteration say that it’ll pack a 720p screen, one of Qualcomm’s quad-core processors and a dual-flash setup alongside the camera. There’s still the curious absence of a front-facing camera, but this should to help ensure the phone lands with a price tag just as attractive as Xiaomi’s last device. While rival manufacturer Meizu priced its latest quad-core phone at around $ 480, the Foxconn-based moles reckon this next-generation (likely MIUI-powered) slab could land at just over of $ 300. If all these rumors (and that price) have piqued your interest, you can head on the source for a handful of extra images.

Well, lookie here. It didn’t take long for Motorola’s latest Atrix variant to go from unveiled to launched, as the Atrix HD is now on sale at AT&T for a wallet-pleasing $ 99.99 on contract. Sign the dotted line for two years, and you’ll be getting a 4.5-inch Android superphone, complete with Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0), a true 720p display, Kevlar-infused backing, a “splash resistant” casing and an LTE radio. Those who indulge quickly are set to grab a gratis Vehicle Dock for “a limited time,” and you’ll also enjoy the first Moto handset to bring the outfit’s Circle Widget to the homescreen — which is engineered to take owners directly to their AT&T account info, displaying data usage, battery status and more. The phone’s listed right now in AT&T’s smartphone section in Titanium and Modern White, but the link to buy it seems deactivated for the moment. Still, it’s all square to go on sale today, so keep a close eye on the source link if you’re dead-set on an upgrade.

Sony LT30 is Bluetoothcertified packs 720p display, Snapdragon S4, no nameAn as-yet unannounced Sony phone has been given another official nudge, courtesy of a filing over at leaky favorite, Bluetooth SIG. The device houses a substantial 4.6-inch screen carrying a 720p display and Sony’s Mobile Bravia engine software tweaks. It’s apparently part of Sony’s “premium product line” and while glamor shots are still non-existent, we’re told that it’ll have a familiar-sound arc design, and a metal back cover — a rarity for Sony phones. Despite these heady specs, the phone remains slim at 9 mm, and a weight of around 140g, while the LT30 model number tallies with some earlier benchmark appearances and user agent profiles that suggest the device will pack Android 4.0 and an LTE-friendly Snapdragon S4 processor. Good news then, if you thought Sony wasn’t launching enough phones this year.

According to WiiUDaily (and we’re confirming), the Wii U is currently running at 720p resolution, a considerable step down from the 1080p, 3D-pumping action coming out of the 360 and the PS3. Although there is no absolute proof that the Wii U is 720p, the site noted that “the representative couldn’t confirm whether the games can be upscaled to 1080p, only that the ‘native resolution is 720p for all titles showcased.’”

Does it really matter that the Wii U is 720p? Not particularly, but 1080p would definitely be a nice to have. Nintendo sells all over the world, even to folks who may not have HD TVs. To stymie resolution offers a cost and processor savings that can be rolled back into gameplay?

Does it make me particularly happy to learn that it’s 720p? Not really. The Wii has long been hampered by its standard definition roots and it’s going to piss off a lot of fanboys. Here’s hoping this is just a misunderstanding.

The Motorola Atrix line has been a big one for the company. Yet with two iterations out so far, the phones have yet to really wow anyone. But according to this specs/photo leak, the Atrix 3 may leave you humming a different tune.

Tian Jin Daily reports that the Atrix 3 will sport a 4.3-inch 720p display, which is a nice start but that’s not even where things get exciting. Under the hood, you’ll find a quad-core Tegra 3 processor, 2GB of RAM and a massive 3300mAh battery.

That’s the same battery we’re seeing on the Droid RAZR Maxx and let me tell you, even with a 4G LTE radio on the whole time that battery will last you all day, no problem.

Though we’re not 100 percent sure this is the Atrix 3, it makes sense based on the timing and the fact that this phone seems to be built around Atrix design language rather than that Razr-esque style Moto’s been so fond of lately.

The purported Atrix 3 should also pack a 10-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash. No word whether or not this bad boy will run Ice Cream Sandwich out of the box, but based on the fact that Moto already has a Medfield-powered ICS handset in the works, I’d say it’s officially safe to have hope.

We’ve seen a jailbroken Apple TV running iOS apps but admittedly, the last demo we were treated to was brief, dimly lit and light on commentary. Now, the developers behind the Apple TV MobileX project are back with a longer, more explanatory video, and this time you can see apps like Facebook, YouTube, Safari and Maps running at 720p resolution. As you can see, the hack generally runs smoothly, though the dev narrating the video is quick to admit that certain apps such as Safari are sluggish due to the fact that he’s using VNC instead of a direct input method like a remote or mouse and keyboard. Curious? We’ve got video of the setup just past the break.
