Question by Daniel Y: Is the HTC HD7 Windows Phone worth getting? So I’m planning on upgrading my phone by gettting the htc hd7 Windows Phone and I was wondering if it’s worth getting. I’ve asked a few people that I know who has the phone if it’s a good phone to get and they had different opinions about it. Some say it’s a good phone while others say that I should get an Android. I’ve looked up the reviews on this phone and some people who has it says it’s worth getting.

Answer by Latiny PHTC HD7 Windows Phone (T-Mobile) - The phone is incredibly quick booting. HTC HD7 Windows Phone (T-Mobile) - The phone is incredibly quick booting. - The UI is beautiful and so smooth to use in comparison to other smartphones. - The build quality is solid and it feels like a good phone in your hand with the metal surround instead of cheap plastic. - The apps already on the store are of good quality and run very well on the phone, expecting a load more on the US release. - Skydrive integration with the Office Hub and your photo’s is very useful allowing super quick upload to the cloud. - The one touch camera launch from the lock screen is very handy & the flash is super bright with double LED. ————————

I’ve been wanting a new phone for several months now, and the phone I’ve been keeping my eyes on was the Motorola Droid. The Incredible is coming out soon though, and I hear it’s faster, slimmer, and overall better than the Droid… is this true? My main irk with the Droid was its keyboard, and I like how the Incredible eliminates it completely. So do you think the Incredible is a better investment?

Answer by firemandan900I actually like the Droid keyboard better, but other then that the Incredible is a much faster phone. Go with the Incredible.

The Linux Foundation’s primary backer for the alternative OS efforts, Parallels’ server CTO James Bottomley, has revealed that Microsoft’s requirements for signed, Secure Boot-ready code are tough if developers aren’t entirely onboard its train of thought. The Redmond crew demands a paper contract signature (remember those?), agreements on work beyond the relevant software and a packaging process that complicates attempts to use open-source tools. Bottomley has already overcome most of these challenges, although he’s still waiting for a Linux Foundation-specific key that should theoretically clear a major hurdle. Whether or not that leads to a remedy in days or weeks is up to Microsoft; in the meantime, we’ll take comfort in knowing that a signature is so far a convenience for booting into Linux, rather than a necessity.

Some users quick to upgrade to Apple’s latest mobile OS report losing automatic push delivery of their email, requiring that they check for themselves to get any fresh messages. The issue isn’t carrier- or device-specific, and attempts to reboot, reconfigure or restore devices are at best temporary fixes: what flows smoothly at first runs dry several hours later. Apple technicians are aware that the flaw exists, but it’s tough to know if and when engineers will have a fix — the company typically waits until it has a solution in hand before it goes on the record. We’ve reached out to Apple for a possible comment all the same. In the meantime, let us know if your Exchange access (or push data as a whole) is going awry.
[Thanks, Daniel]
