incredible-hulk-cloud.jpg

Seen here looking majestic (in my mind there were angels singing), this is the Hulk shaped cloud spotted by Redditor Bartonnen’s father. I’m not sure how long the green giant stood up there terrifying locals, but a skywriter missed a golden opportunity to add a ‘HULK SMASH’ above him (or just come flying through his chest like an alien baby). Could you defeat a cloud hulk? No. Could I? No. Could the two of us working together? Absolutely not, I hate teamwork. One time I was supposed to be the anchor during tug-o-war and I pushed everyone in front of me.

Thanks to my ex-friend Terry, who has a condition that only allows him to see pecker shaped clouds.

Question by Joycee: Is getting the HTC Droid Incredible a better idea than getting the Motorola Droid? I’ve been wanting a new phone for several months now, and the phone I’ve been keeping my eyes on was the Motorola Droid. The Incredible is coming out soon though, and I hear it’s faster, slimmer, and overall better than the Droid… is this true? My main irk with the Droid was its keyboard, and I like how the Incredible eliminates it completely. So do you think the Incredible is a better investment?

Best answer:

Answer by firemandan900I actually like the Droid keyboard better, but other then that the Incredible is a much faster phone. Go with the Incredible.

What do you think? Answer below!

HTC DLX possibly photographed in its long, long rumored Verizon badging

It’s about time. The HTC DLX has most often been rumored carrying a Verizon-style 6435LVW or Droid Incredible X name, and yet it was unveiled first in Japan as the J Butterfly; we really needed the photos just now surfacing at Android Central to remind us that the 5-inch, 1080p gigantophone could still come to Big Red. While nothing’s confirmed yet, the black-with-red-trim design and all too prominent Verizon labeling make a convincing case for the DLX’s ultimate US destination. A helpfully provided phone profile screen might be more interesting to some, as it hints that we might get the same quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro, 2GB of RAM and 8-megapixel rear camera as in the J Butterfly — Verizon won’t pull a Droid Incredible 4G LTE and tone down the hardware, if this is true. Without any more details, we’re still left wondering just how soon Verizon could commit to launching the smartphone. There’s no guarantees that Verizon will follow KDDI’s schedule and ship in early December.

Update: We’ve been wondering whether the odd name was meant to be short for Droid Incredible X, i.e. “DIX” instead of “DLX,” but our friend @evleaks on Twitter just showed us a list of device PIDs that mentions the latter. @evleaks also suggests that DLX might be short for the codename “Deluxe” for the international variant, just as “ENRC2″ was short for “Endeavor C2″ (One X+).

HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE may hit Verizon on July 5th

The bad news: if you’ve been hoping to grab a Droid Incredible 4G LTE so you can show it off to your friends at your local July 4th extravaganza, you’re out of luck. The good news: you might be able to cheer up from your post-holiday depression the very next day. According to internal employee docs captured by Droid-Life, we should expect Verizon’s first Sense 4 device to arrive at stores on July 5th for $ 200 with a two-year contract. As always, pricing and availability are never set in stone; after all, internal employee docs gave us false hope that the Motorola Droid 4 would show up several weeks before it actually launched, but that was likely a result of Verizon pulling the launch at the last minute. Provided Big Red doesn’t change its mind (or other snafus throw a wrench into the process), we won’t be disappointed this time around.

It’s been spotted in leaked press renders and blurry photos before, but Verizon has just recently (and perhaps inadvertently) made the new Droid Incredible nice and official. The Droid Incredible 4G LTE just popped up on Verizon’s Droid Does promotional site, and while you can’t have one just yet, it’s comforting to know that it’ll see the light of say sooner rather than later.

In addition to a mildly unnerving robo-lady talking up the device’s LTE radio and HTC’s Sense UI, the site also confirms most of the specs that have been previously reported.

The Ice Cream Sandwich-powered Incredible 4G LTE indeed sports a 1.2GHz dual-core processor (though as usual, they don’t mention what make), 1GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera, in addition to a 4-inch qHD Super LCD display, 8GB of internal storage, and the now-standard Beats Audio profile.

All of that is squeezed into a frame that comes in at 0.46-inches thick — a bit more of a handful than your iPhone or Galaxy Nexus, though I imagine the difference won’t mean much for anyone but the most jaded sticklers. The device also features the same sort of hardware navigation key layout as seen in the HTC One series, though I wish Verizon and HTC would have opted to carry over more of the One series’ wonderful industrial design language.

According to the Droid Does site, Verizon could be sell the Droid Incredible 4G LTE (I’m getting really tired of typing that out) for the princely sum of $ 299 with a two-year contract — I say “could” because there are plenty of references on the page to the Droid Razr MAXX, which coincidentally costs exactly that. Hell, despite having a Buy Now link placed prominently on the page, clicking the link takes you to the product page for the Motorola Razr MAXX. Something seems slightly amiss here, and I’ll keep you posted on any developments.
