Bing, Microsoft’s attempt to take on Google directly. When it first launched there was quite a bit of fanfare and its market share grew quickly. It didn’t exactly hack away at Mountain View’s dominance, but it certainly made a small dent. Since then, things have slowed down and other players have asserted themselves in the global search battlefield. While Baidu has been riding high for quite some time, Yandex is a relative new-comer to the leader board. And, somewhat surprisingly, has already surpassed Microsoft for global market share according to stats provided to us by comScore. Though the margin is small, the Russian company saw more searches performed through its site than Microsoft in both November and December of 2012. The difference is small enough that those positions could swap again but, where as Bing has seen its numbers plateau over the last six months, Yandex has continued to grow. Of course, neither is anywhere near challenging Google which accounts for roughly 65 percent of the search traffic according to comScore’s numbers and both only see about half the traffic of the number three competitor, Yahoo. Microsoft can still claim one victory over Yandex in the number of unique searchers, though. If you’re curious for more we’ve put the entire chart after the break.

Shama Langan Ding Dong?
Digitimes, whose news we need to take with a grain of salt, is reporting that Langan Precision is making the cameras for the so-called iPad 2. If you read the Digitimes statement, they’re basically saying that Langan Precision is declining to state whether they are making the part or not in a Taiwan Stock Exchange. Langan reportedly makes the 5-megapixel cameras for the iPhone 4. The problem is that many doubt the iPad 2 will have a rear camera. So what is this strange camera? A VGA model for FaceTime? Pointing to another line in the filing, Digitimes stated:
In order to focus on high-resolution lens modules, Largan will outsource production of VGA models for use in tablet PCs instead of producing in-house, the sources indicated. In light of growing demand for tablet PCs, Largan’s shipments of related lens modules are expected to account for 10-20% of its consolidated revenues in 2011, the sources said.
So basically you’re dealing with two bits of info: Langan may or may not make iPhone cameras and Langan is planning to stick those same cameras into a tablet. Then you put the two together and you get a nice bump in share price for Langan and we learn nothing new about the iPad 2 except that, as we suspected, it will probably have a camera. Thanks, Internet!

Question by ninjaraymond01: How many android customers are tired from being ignored by Google, The Manufacturer, and the Provider? Where I am getting at is: How many android owners HATE the fact that we are getting ABSOLUTELY ignored by Google, HTC/Motorola/Samsung etc and T-mobile/Verizon/Sprint? How many people have android phones that overheat like my G1? How many people have phones that the touchscreen doesn’t seem calibrated? How many of you “ANDROID” users have a phone that stopped receiving updates and support from their provider? How many are tired of the crappy ass graphics compared to other phones? How many of you guys are completely disappointed of the purchase that you made? Well I do. And FOR once in my life I would like for me to get noticed. And one more thing Google and HTC, I hope Apple wins the fight
Answer by LukeI don’t think people are being ignored.
Their support could get improved but it should get better as more people use it.
