This is the battle on Fhloston Paradise from ‘The Fifth Element’ recreated in LEGO by builder Matt De Lonoy. The Fifth Element — now that was a good movie. And not just because an orange-haired Milla Jovovich was running around in less medical bandages than you’d find in a first-aid kit the whole time, but that certainly didn’t hurt. “So you’re a pervert.” I’M A CINEPHILE.
Hit the jump for a ton more from all angles, but be sure to check out Matt’s Flickr page with even more in high-res.

This is the 50,000+ piece diorama of Lord Of The Ring’s elf haven Rivendell built by LEGOManiacs Blake Baer and Jack Bittner. The 30″ x 40″ piece weighs 120 pounds and took over 600 years to build. Well, that’s just my guesstimate, but I’ve never lost one of those ‘guess how many jelly beans are in the jar’ contests.
Hit the jump for some closeups but be sure to check out Blake’s Flickr if you want to treat your eyeballs to some sexy-ass high-res shots.

If you haven’t already seen them, this is a series of ridiculously impressive Westeros locations faithfully recreated in Minecraft. I know, they’ve already been out for like a week now, but what can I say, I like being late to the party. Think of me as like, the fashionable late belle of the ball. “You reek of booze.” Oh I’m sorry, I didn’t realize there were going to be any PENCIL-PEENED CHAPERONES PRESENT. *spikes punchbowl, drinks straight from ladle* This party’s tapped anyways, who wants to go to IHOP? “You gonna puke in the parking lot again?” Depends, you gonna challenge me to drink a whole bottle of syrup again? “Nope.” That was a joke, I always puke regardless.
Hit the jump for like, twelve or sixteen more (I lost count) of the impressive.

This is a 7,000 domino maze that, when toppled, recreates Van Gogh’s iconic ‘The Starry Night’. It was set up (and knocked down) by Youtuber Spazzybat Flippycat of domino wall destruction fame. Which, as far as fame goes, is like 4X more famous than I’ll ever be. “Dammit GW, that’s not even true and you know it.” Fine, 8X. “Now that’s more like it.”
Hit the jump and secretly laugh at the times he accidentally knocks it over before it’s finished.

This is a series of Avengers props/weapons faithfully recreated in LEGO blocks by Flickr user buriedbybricks. Me? I want to be buriedbyboobies. And was once. I seriously thought I was gonna suffocate. And you know what? I would have been okay with that. God knows it’s better than whatever embarrassing way He actually does have planned for me. *booming voice* “I’m thinking naked and in a compromising position that will shame your family for generations.” *shaking fist at heaven* Come on, I go to church sometimes!
Hit the jump for closeups of all the pieces including Captain America’s shield, Thor’s hammer, Hawkeye’s bow (plus arrow tips) and Black Widow’s gadget jewelry.

So accurate, you’ll swear Christopher Nolan quit being a commercially and critically-successful blockbuster director to instead play with the old Lego bin he found in his parents’ garage.

This is a series of LEGO playsets designed by LEGOManiac Alex Jones (aka Flickr user Orion Pax) of the various downtown buildings featured in Back To The Future II. They even all connect with the pond in the middle that Marty gets stuck over on his hoverboard. “Hey McFly, you bojo — those boards don’t work on water!” But seriously, that was pretty stupid of McFly thinking his board would work on water. It’s not a f***ing Jetski, dummy.
Hit the jump for the rest including the Jaws 19 theater, Cafe 80′s, the Mr. Fusion plant, as well as all of them together PLUS BONUS DINO RIDERS because I’m a sucker for those laser-toting sexpots.

This is a video of Hyrulecraft, the entire world from the Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time recreated 1:1 in Minecraft. You can download the entire thing now, but its creators are currently working on setting up a server with quests, etc. to make it that much funner. I’m gonna hang out with the Gorons and make bombs!
Hyrulecraft is a 1:1 scale replica of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, in Minecraft! With the alpha map already available as a download, the project has now entered stage 2. The HC team hopes to have a completed server ready later this year which will include a unique Minecraft MMO experience including quests, NPCs, dungeons, free build zones, guilds, and more of the classic Minecraft stuff you know and love.
Are you thinking what I’m thinking? “You want to live there?” Yes! Now somebody TRON my ass in there pronto. “We don’t have that technology.” Fine — Monkey Island it is, now blast me with that laser thingy.
Hit the jump for a video tour and a link to the project page with downloads.

Remember Geekologie Reader Stefan Petit’s gallery of posters from the original Bioshock he recreated in Photoshop? Well he just finished doing Bioshock 2′s as well. Aaaaaand these are them. Man, I wish I could’ve seen Rapture in its heyday, that would’ve been the tits. Instead I have to settle for seeing THE rapture. “Soooooo…you’re not going to heaven?” What the — DOES IT LOOK LIKE I’M GOING TO HEAVEN?! I yelled at an old lady yesterday for walking with a limp.
Hit the jump for a sample of the posters but be sure to check out the links to Stephan’s DeviantART/Behance pages for the complete, worthwhile set.

The title says it all. I just didn’t want to leave this part blank. Actually, I DID want to leave it blank because that would be a first for me but then I chickened out like a giant sissyboy. I swear, I can’t do anything write. “That’s the wrong right.” SEE? I should probably just take a shower and call it a day.
Hit the jump for the worthwhile remake.
