Question by Tori Kutenai: Should i buy a Samsung Galaxy Player or should i wait until the next generation iPod touch if it will come out? I want to buy the samsung galaxy player but should i wait until apple releases the iPod Touch 5G? I don’t even know if they will but assuming they do, would it be better to wait until iPod Touch 5G comes out and compare that to the Samsung Galaxy Player? Or is it no doubt that the new iPod Touch would not be any better than the samsung galaxy player that don’t need wait until then and buy the galaxy player now instead?

This week’s Ask Engadget inquiry is from Bernard, who wants an answer to the age-old question of ensuring you get the most out of your batteries. If you’re looking to ask one of your own, drop us a line at ask [at] engadget [dawt] com.
“It’s said that you should always leave brand-new electronics plugged in for ‘a few hours’ after being fully charged, but how do you decide that period of time? Is there a calculation depending on the capacity of the battery, or what? Help me, please!”
Nowadays, do you even need to? While memory effect was an issue on NiCad batteries, Lithium Ion units don’t suffer from the same issue. It could also be tied to the belief that most chargers only re-juice batteries up to 95 percent, but we can’t find any authoritative proof on the matter. Let’s turn it over to the electrical engineers and battery experts who read Engadget on a regular basis so we can sort this out, once and for all!

I feel that if I get the Samsung galaxy s3 it will fall of and not be as good as it is now. I’ve never had an iphone and I have always liked the look of the iphone. I am more concerned about battery life, camera quality, apps, music, and speed. I have been an android user for quite awhile now if that helps. Please I need you help and opinions.

Answer by HiGalaxy S3 for sure! Too many people have problems with the iPhone 5 and should I even bother bringing up the Maps application…? Also, you can access all your files on any computer with the galaxy s3 but you can’t with apple products (iPhone 5) you can only access your files if you plug it into your iTunes, GAY! You buy their product and they try to tell you what you can and can’t do with it? Psh. Also, you can add memory to your device if you purchase the s3, but with the iPhone you can never add more memory to it, what you buy is what you get. And yes, s3 has cloud as well while apple offers only like 2gb of cloud then I believe you pay for more, they always want your money. And people have problems with the date and times with their iPhone sometimes my best friends iphone says its like 1:00 when it’s clearly 9:00 and last month if November his calendar said it was August. iPhone is for fanboys and only fanboys will support them. It’s all closed source garbage. Get the Galaxy S3, you won’t be disappointed! Also, Android offers swipe and other cool keyboard features while Apple only offers their standard qwerty on screen key board which gets old, Mix it up idiots at Apple! Also, Samsung Galaxy is faster than the iPhone 5, contrary to what apple fanboys believe. The Samsung Galaxy S3 has a 1.5 GHZ processor while the iPhone 5 only has a 1.3 GHZ Processor.

EDIT: @Valerie, the Galaxy S3 has a faster processor than the IPhone 5, there is no way your Galaxy S3 is slower…. Also, yes they are making a 5s, which is ANOTHER reason to not support apple, they’re constantly making new phones and aren’t even upgrading anything major…they’re already having a new iPhone and it hasn’t even been 4 months yet. How ridiculous, waste of money.
EDIT: These people obviously have no idea about the Galaxy S3. Are you going to believe a few more people or facts that I have presented to you? They don’t know anything about the S3, like I said —> fanboys.

Answer by FrameThe Motorola XOOM features a front-facing 2-megapixel camera for video chats over Wi-Fi via Google Talk, as well as a rear-facing 5-megapixel camera (with LED flash for stills) that captures video in 720p HD. The 10.1-inch display delivers console-like gaming performance on its 1280 x 800-pixel display, and it features a built-in gyroscope, barometer, e-compass, accelerometer, and adaptive lighting for new types of applications.

Best answer:
Answer by nerdcoreWell, it’s mostly preference. I could list advantages with each choice & maybe that’ll help you decide:
new/better electronic hopper – provides faster & more consistent feeding. Helps prevent ball chops in the gun & allows you to utilize the gun’s speed a little better.
xe kit – allows easier access to bolt for maintenance.
new barrel – better accuracy, although accuracy is also based on paint quality.

Best answer:
Answer by Jose GuillermoOk… So… To the first question:
a) About the keyboard in latest phones…. Well that is definitely a tough one! But there are still a few options available. These are some of them that are relatively up to date… ( I interpreted an up to date phone (android) as one that is running on android Ice cream sandwich 4.0.x or higher with a fair hardware power) :
- Samsung Galaxy Chat B5330:

- Samsung Galaxy Stratosphere II I415:

- Motorola Photon Q 4G LTE
http://www.gsmarena.com/motorola_photon_q_4g_lte-4885.php
second:
b) Yes, android phones can be ROOTED (root = jailbreak for android, to make it simple), BUT you don’t need to root your phone in order to be able to download *free* apps ( *cough google search for “alternatives to google play store” cough *).
third: You won’t be able to use data connection in a phone if you are not paying for that service to some carrier. In order to be able to use any SIM card in your phone ( from different carriers) your phone has to be carrier unlocked, means that you did not buy it subsidized by any carrier via a contract. If your phone is carrier locked, you can still root it to unlock it or sometimes the carriers will let you pay some fee for them to unlock it via IMEI .
Hope this was helpfull! sorry if I didn’t explain myself vastly but I’m in a hurry hehe! Good luck finding your phone!
