Question by smarth: does windows phone need zune to connect it to pc like itunes for iphone? can we files system like in android or is it locked to zune like iphone is locked to itunes?
Best answer:
Answer by Cindyyeah, WP7 requires sync to a phone via Zune software, similar to iOS and Android. You can enable wireless sync over your internal network – just dock it within wifi range and you’re good to go.

Im not really into the apps just the best music quality and internet functions. I also download music off of things like limewire and cd’s so the marketplace is no concern. What would really be best for me? Ill take personal opinions, reviews, comments, and experiences u may of had.
Best answer:
Answer by AlexZuneHD vs iPod Touch.
I’m currently in possession of a broken iPod Touch, and a working ZuneHD.
Music:
Music quality, I’d choose ZuneHD hands down. 32GB of storage allows tons of songs, all of which at your favorite quality! CD’s are stupidly easy to rip with the Zune software (Try it out for free! http://www.zune.net)
Video:
For video, I’d still choose ZuneHD. ZuneHD supports High-Quality HD AVI, MP4, and WMV movies. If you get a $ 80 dock thingy, you can play the movies back in full Dolby 5.1 and 720p (If supported by movie.) For short videos, its still pretty beast, because the OLED screen is insanely bright, so you always see it!

Apps:
Sadly, iPod Touch wins this. iPod Touch makes it so easy to download apps, yet half of them are not professional, some choppy. ZuneHD has some nice apps, however its hard as hell to get Non-Microsoft apps to it.
Internet:
ZUNEHD! Although ZuneHD has no flash support, iPod Touch doesn’t either. ZuneHD has a multi-touch zoom feature in its browser, and auto-focus so you can see the whole page without borders. It has a favorites option, and can view pages in Mobile or Desktop mode. Also supports cookies for things like MySpace, Facebook, Email, and Forum Logins.
Overall: ZuneHD wins.
ZuneHD is superior to the iPod Touch in my opinion. The bright screen, easy-to-use system, music browser, and features are countless. You can even use your ZuneHD as a flash drive if you feel like it… I’ve had my ZuneHD for one year, I even pre-ordered, had my Name, Phone #, and PB 4 LIFE (Paintball 4 Life) engraved in the back, and a $ 30 design, for FREE!
Considering I took 15 minutes to write this, I’d appreciate the 5 second favor of clicking “Choose as best answer”!

Best answer:
Answer by TomWell, you cannot call people with neither an iPod touch nor a Zune, they are both mp3 players, (the ipod touch is different from the iPhone). A Zune is basically Microsoft’s version of an iPod. They are mp3 players designed by Microsoft. Again, you cannot call people on a Zune or an iPod touch, that is the IPHONE ONLY.
Hope I helped

I can download music from the market place on my Windows Phone, but i can’t download from the Zune Software. Also, it says i have a media rights error. I have all available media updates for my computer and my Zune Software. Any suggestions? Please and Thanks.

Answer by Pray your life was just a dreamYou have to sign in to the account that your WP7 uses, if your sign in name is different for your phone then your computer then that is why it doesn’t work. You can go into settings and see what devices and computers use your zune software. To sign in click the right corner of the zune software.

Best answer:
Answer by JasonApps The apple ipod touch has a massive app data base but in the long run may not compare to what the zune offers in terms of apps. microsoft has not released their app store yet and will be in the next few months with the release of windows mobile 7. The Zune has a NVIDIA graphics card and this is something that is essential for the upcoming app database coming. Now the music. The itunes store has been selling music for a very long time but still hasn’t shaken the DRM (digital rights management) yet. Zune hasn’t either but there is news that the zune software will not have DRM restrictions. Itunes sells music for anywhere from $ .99 to $ 1.29 per song. But zune sells each song for $ .99. Also there is another option for the Zune software. There is a Zune pass which is 10 song you keep for life each month and then unlimited downloads of each song as long as you are subscribed to Zune Pass. This is 15$ a month and is a great deal for the people who listen to a lot of music.
The Zune Hd is a better choice because of the cheapness of the music and how sleek the design is. if you buy directly from zune.net you can personalize the zune to have a graphic engraved and choose the from numerous colors. You can also engrave you name into it all for free. Now the ipon touch only comes in two colors Platinium and Black. you can also engrave only two small lines on the back. The zune has a much clearer screen with the new OLED technology. Ipod touch has only a LCD screen making it not as clear. I highly recomend the Zune HD

Question by Milanista: Will WP7 games and apps be supported on the Zune HD? As many know, the Zune HD is a sleeping beast waiting to be let out, but like MS always does, it feels abandoned. The screen is almost mistaken for a super AMOLED, even though its only a regular AMOLED. The tegra chip has amazing potentials, etc. But all of this is kind of pointless besides movies if there are no games. So will games and apps developed for WP7 be playable on the zune hd? because I don’t think the code is that different. If abandoned, do you think MS made the right decision? Because I heard that the zune HD 2 is coming out to be similar as the wp7 because wp7 uses a different version of XNA than the zune HD. But why can’t MS just update the firmware to have it support the newer version of XNA, or is that not possible? Tell what you think about WP7 that is going to come out this october or november too. Just curious to see what people think about it.
Best answer:
Answer by stuif MS wants to seriously compete they have to do 1 of 2 things….open the current HD to the complete WP7 market place, or create an HD2 that is compatable with WP7 apps/games.
as of right now i think they will do neither as the PMP side of MS is not a big deal to them…they will keep the current HD and do some minor updates to the browser and some other stuff, and they will give us a handful of zune HD exclusive apps, and give us another handful of WP7 apps ported down to us.
i personally have given up supporting a company like this, give me android/google that seems to care about its customers. updates like 4 times a year, plus the open app store. c’mon MS, dont blow this one….again
