Question by Mark B: What does the “i” stand for in things such as “ipod,” “iphone,” or the TV show “iCarley” etc? ?
I’m anything but techno-savvy. What is it with this “i” in front of everything?

Apple had great success with the iPod name, etc. In fact, some people refer to the current generation as the “iGeneration,” not because of the iPod, but simply because of the effect that the “i” seems to have on society. Ever since the iMac, Apple has basically managed to become “cool” and “hip.”
