I just bought an android phone. The phone guy said I should use advance task killer. Whats the point of “killing” apps?

Because the design of Android is to multitask so that means that if you use an app, its still running in the background even if youre not doing anything with it anymore. So its using battery- app killers shut them off. best one is advanced task killer- just pick which ones you wanna kill
