Question by : Will robotics ever replace a soldier on the battlefield.?
I want to join the military but I don’t want a some new technology to replace me on the field.

Hell no! There will always be a need for real on foot soldiers.

Robotics are constantly being improved especially in the military. I do not believe that they will take over the military, but they will be (and are) used by the military.
Nop they will most asurely assist in military operations like helping find IEDS, cleasr buildings, unmanned vehicles will support troops in aerial attacks(predators) but man power will always be needed in the military regardless, unless you get robots like terminator
not in your lifetime so just in case join the army rangers and show them what real men can do
Someday. They are already beggining to with robotic tanks and UAVs. Dont worry though it most likely wont happen in your lifetime.
That would be a double edged sword. If I take you right you wanna know if battles will be fought be nothing but robots. I think for this scenario to come true you would have to have thinking war machines. I believe we all saw Arnold in Terminator. This could turn out to be quite the horror story.
Also, I believe a machine like the terminator would be so expensive the last thing they would want to do would be to blow it up!
